Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A8+ (2018) Android 8.0 Oreo Update: Download and Install

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) which was launched earlier this year with Android 7.1 Nougat is finally receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update. The operating system Android 8.0 Oreo is currently rolling out for Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) users in Russia.

The update brings new features like VoLTE support on both SIMs, alongside the July 2018 security patch as well. Interestingly, the Dolby Atmos support is not listed. You can see the entire changelog of all the new things this update brings via by clicking here. The build numbers are A530FXXU2BRG1 and A730FXXU2BRG1.

As usual, to update or check for the update, you are advised to head to your phone Settings > Software Update to see if you’ve received the update yet which was also said to come with Samsung Experience 9.0. If you can’t find it, it should likely hit your device in a few days. If you cannot wait, try installing the firmware from SamMobile’s site, however that would require you to flash your mobile. Now that Russia has received the Oreo update, hopefully this update should arrive for other markets soon.
