Microsoft Bans Cryptocurrency Ads From its Bing Search Engine

First was facebook followed by google and now comes Microsoft. Microsoft has join the club of operation banning of Cryptocurrency and related advertisements from its Bing Search engine.

The banning is yet to take effect late June to July. Presently, users can possibly see such advertisements till the deadline date. The roll-out will go globally and to all deceives be it computer, mobile or anything else that can make use of bing search engine.

Speaking on the case, Melissa Alsoszatai-Petheo, Advertiser policy manager at Microsoft said on Wednesday via in blog post “Because cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, we have found them to present a possible elevated risk to our users with the potential for bad actors to participate in predatory behaviours, or otherwise scam consumers.”

“To help protect our users from this risk, we have made the decision to disallow advertising for cryptocurrency, its related products, and un-regulated binary options,” she added.

According to media reports, Twitter also are likely to ban cryptocurrency, token sales and Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) advertisements on its platform.

Can this stop Cryptocurrency? Well to me i think they are just protecting users from being scammed because of many phishing and fake Cryptocurrency sites and Apps.
