Expansion of the facebook two-factor Authentication feature has began as facebook introduced new two additional options to its 2AF. The two new added options include the use of Streamlines Setup and Authentication App.
The streamline setup goes by its name via “setup”. Its just a guideline that we lead users to setup their 2AF authentication security to the successful stage.
The introduction of the 2AF authentication security have been a great help since it was made available as it will send you a (TOTP) SMS to your phone for additional authentication before login into your account to prevent being hacked. Uptill today, many haven’t had of this feature while many who have heard or it doesn’t know it’s functionality.
With the help of 2AF authentication, Even if someone were to guess your password or it got leaked as part of a hack, no one can log in to your account without physical access to your second factor device. Previously, it required you to submit your phone number to receive a six-digit code on your associated phone via text message Now, in other to avoid keeping users stranded when they aren’t with the phone number they use to register the facebook two-factor Authentication, facebook now introduced the App option – Cryptocurrency users are familiar with it.
However, now, when you sign up for two-factor authentication, Facebook will walk you through the process explaining how it works and offer you the option of using an authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile to generate login codes, rather than just the option of a text message.
HOW TO ENABLE FACEBOOK TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2AF)
In order to enable two-factor authentication, log in to your Facebook account and go to the Settings menu and click on the Security and Login tab. Further, select the option to enable two-factor authentication, then follow the setup to complete the process.
I urge everyone to enable the two-factor authentication security to their facebook so that they can be more secured when hackers attack their account. The Google Authentication app is what i am currently using and it’s working perfectly fine. Am really tired of retrieving anybody’s password again for him/her oh lolz.
