Android whatsapp users can now make payments by scanning QR code directly from their whatsapp App. WhatsApp rolled out Payments option back in February, which is currently under testing with limited functionality.
The QR Code payment feature is available on it beta version V2.18.93. Whether the update will code to its iOS app is not yet know but we all believe it will.
Users of Whatsapp stable app are advised to regularly check on the update from their play store as it is rumored to be available to some people at the moment. The roll-out might be slow so checking on it by the weekend is advisable.
HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT WITH WHATSAPP QR CODE
To access the QR Code feature, users need to tap on the three dots on the right top of your whatsapp. After that, you need to tap the Payments option and which then will present you with two options; UPI ID and Scan QR Code as shown in the screenshot above.
Make your selection by clicking on the QR code which will take you to QR code scanning screen where you will have to scan the code, enter the amount followed by the UPI PIN verification.
You can also view your own QR code from the payments section from the three-dot menu and clicking Show QR code. You can check on your whatsapp to know if it have adapt the updated features directly from play store or by clicking here.
